The GITAM Technology Enabling Centre (G-TEC) has received funding from the Department of Science & Technology (DST) of Rs. 3,28,00,000 for five years.      Inauguration of GITAM - Technology Enabling Centre (G-TEC) on 2nd June 2023 at GITAM, Visakhapatnam campus.      G-TEC Anusandhan - Lab to market: A technology exhibition for academic institutions' on 29th August.

Mr.Harish Mehta, co-founder of NASSCOM (the National Association of Software and Service Companies), gave a special speech on May 11, 2023, in honour of National Technology Day at the GITAM Deemed to be University of Visakhapatnam. Vice Chancellor of GITAM Professor Dayananda Siddavattam honoured Mr.Harish Mehta on this occasion. Professor D. Gunasekharan and Dr. Raja Phani Pappu, Directors of the research and department cell (RDC), were also faculty members who participated in this initiative.

(DST G-TEC) have successfully transferred the patented technology of GITAM to GAIL (India) Limited. Shri L S Rao ( CGM, Visakhapatnam-GAIL India) mentioned that this technology will help them in leveling the gas pipelines on rough terrains by replacing the traditional sandbags technique.The inventor of this technology is Dr. Chandra Mouli KVVNR from GITAM.

Technology Transfer of Solar drying technology to Ladakh University

GITAM Technology Enabling Centre (G-TEC) has successfully transferred Hybrid Solar Dehydrator technology to the University of Ladakh, benefiting Ladakhi farmers by improving post-harvest drying processes for high-altitude crops such as apricots and sea buckthorn.
